How Spray Foam Insulation Erie Works

Spray Foam Insulation Erie air seals and insulates houses, garages and farm buildings in Erie and the townships and boroughs around it. We spray closed-cell and open-cell foam, blow cellulose and fiberglass, and remove old insulation that is wet, packed down or contaminated.

Erie sits in the Lake Erie snowbelt, and that shapes almost every job. Heat that escapes into an attic melts the heavy snow on the roof and builds ice at the eaves. Cold air pulled in at the rim joist and through the basement makes first floors drafty. Barns and pole buildings sweat when warm air meets cold steel. Our work is about stopping those air leaks and then adding the right insulation in the right place.

How a visit goes

  • Attic first. We measure existing insulation, look for the gaps around chimneys, plumbing stacks, light fixtures and the hatch, and check for roof leaks and frost.
  • Then the basement or crawl space. We walk the rim joist and the sill, look at the foundation for water, and check any crawl space under additions.
  • Then anything else you want done. Bonus rooms, kneewalls, outside walls, garages, shops or pole barns.
  • Then the quote. Each area gets its own line: material, thickness or depth, target R-value and price.

How we work

  • Seal before we insulate. Air leaks get closed before new insulation covers them.
  • Pick the material per area. Foam where its air sealing and moisture resistance are needed, loose fill where depth is cheaper.
  • Say what we see. Roof leaks, live old wiring, damp sills or suspect vermiculite get named before work is planned.
  • Respect the schedule. In a snowbelt winter, we plan attic and outbuilding work around temperatures and let you know if a date should move.
